It was the vision of Bob Benmosché to cultivate vineyards along Croatia’s spectacular Dalmatian Coast where original Crljenak vines were discovered. We are honored to produce wine from a country so rich with history and tradition. The Dingač appellation is located on steep south-facing slopes, bordered by stone terraces, descending toward the sea. Benmosché Family Dingač is a brilliant, vivid, ruby red with crystalline clarity. Fruit driven, with notes of pepper, raisins, and a classic Mediterranean herbaceous quality. The wine is robust with vibrant floral notes and an underlying earthy richness. An endless finish rounds out this classic Dingač.

Tasting notes: it is characterized by a fine and intensive aroma and a delicate balance between the typical sweetish fruit aromas and freshness of fresh herbs. This wine is concentrated and rich wine with slightly astringent tannins, aromatic without foreign influence. Spicy seasonings along with gentle tannins gird tongue and palate at first, but then a mature fruitiness and rich extracts create a lasting impression at the aftertaste.

Serving suggestions: Wine is to be decanted for at least one and a half hours before serving, and goes great after dinner with hard aged cheeses. 

Harvest notes: It was a long period of dry summer with high temperature. Harvest begins a week before regular due to high temperature. Harvest was last week of August.

Fermentation: Manual harvest, distemper, fermented in open vats, manual punch downs, 6 days maceration

Bottling and aging: 10 months in used French oak, 12 months in bottles

FULFILLMENT QUESTIONS

The fulfillment time in the warehouse from the order being created in the system to leave the warehouse is 1-3 business days. Time to ship after fulfillment is 2 - 9 business days, depending on state.

Someone 21+ with a photo id must be present at the time of delivery to sign. If someone 21+ is not home, the carrier will make 2 more attempts to deliver. If the 3rd attempt is unsuccessful, the order is returned to the retailer who fulfilled your order.

Orders cannot be shipped to an APO/FPO/DPO or P.O. Box, because all orders require an Adult Signature.
